Writing
Early in my career, I did quite a bit of editing, advertising/marketing copywriting, journalism and so on. More recently, it’s mostly been proposals, plans and presentations. In the future, I expect to do more with professional articles, analytical pieces and so on. Anyway, here are a variety of written pieces.

Fender Players Club: Muddy Waters (1999) — Working for Fender Musical Instruments in the late ’90s, I wrote the attached overview of blues guitarist Muddy Waters’s career and influence as part of the introduction of a signature Telecaster. The pdf attachment is a condensation of the original article, which appeared in Fender Frontline. muddywaters |

Fender Players Club: Marty Stuart (1999) — Similar to the above, I wrote the attached overview of country guitarist Marty Stuart for Fender as part of the introduction of a signature Telecaster. The pdf attachment is a reposting of the original article that I found on the Marty Stuart site. martystuart |

Fender Players Club: James Burton (1999) — Yet another Fender Players Club condensation of an article that originally appeared in Fender’s magalog, Frontline. This one’s on James Burton; interestingly enough, this article is cited as a source in the wikipedia entry on Burton. jamesburton |

Guild Gallery: Johnny Rzeznik (1999) — At Fender, I designed, edited and wrote a magalog for the Guild guitar brand, called Guild Gallery. This interview originally appeared in that book. This was put on to the web by a Goo Goo Dolls fan; I wish I still had all the digital files! johnnyrzeznik |
